{Have something to say but don’t want to leave it here? drop a note at lemonsunflower [at] gmail [dot] com}

This blog is just the chronicling of some things that I’d like to note, remember, record, look back at and ponder over. It began as a way for my family to stay updated on my life (because I hate long phone conversations most of the time!) and grew to be a place where I could record what I liked and rant about what I disliked about my world. Its also almost always about music, which is crucial to the proper functioning of my life, and because I am constantly exploring a wide range of music my taste covers everything. To be completely honest, I get highly amused just with fiddling around with the settings and changing things and decorating and organizing a blog [Yep. Keep your judgement.]

It also became a great way to continue something I loved to do and didn’t get to do very often with preparation for my chosen career: WRITE. Neglecting my love for words and neglecting to thread together literary elements to create something enjoyable to read and share was taking its toll on me, and I hadn’t even sensed that until I realized the satisfaction I recieved from a completed post. Even if it wasn’t very good. Even if it needed work and even if I wrote it in a hurry. The posts I write are steps towards maintaining my creative vein, kind of like exercises for practice, so I don’t lose my love for writing and so I can continually evaluate and judge myself (and once in a while get the opinion of others). I don’t always write with seriousness or with purpose, but often try to carefully mold and shape the flow of my words. A blog’s a good starting point to do that :)

I’m a twenty-something student, trying my best to hold on tightly to the leg of my dreams and hoping that it all works out and everything I’ve worked for leads to everything I’ve wanted. I work very hard, believe in karma and try to keep it on my side, am devoted to the people I love and admire, and am, like everyone else, always in the process of improving myself and experiencing what the world has to offer. Currently I’m setting off on a series of travels, which both excites and terrifies me, and hope to chronicle what I observe and learn right here.

To sum me up: I’m in the continuous process of achieving happiness.

“Achievement of your happiness is the only moral purpose of your life, and that happiness, not pain or mindless self-indulgence, is the proof of your moral integrity, since it is the proof and the result of your loyalty to the achievement of your values.” Ayn Rand
